Background
For more than a decade, I’ve worked with elite performers and high achievers to strengthen their mental health so they can show up fully in every area of life. My work sits at the intersection of performance, identity, and wellbeing, especially for people who are used to pushing hard, carrying a lot, and functioning at a high level even when they do not feel okay inside.
I began my career in an inpatient eating disorder facility, where I often supported athletes who were trying to untangle recovery from sport and performance. That experience shaped how I practice today. I became passionate about helping people heal in a way that protects both their health and their connection to what they love, including continued participation in sport when appropriate and supportive.
From there, I moved into treating substance use disorders with high-performing professionals across many fields, including athletes, surgeons, pilots, and other high-responsibility roles. Over time, I noticed a familiar pattern. The same traits that drive excellence. intensity, perfectionism, relentless standards, and a high tolerance for pressure can also create risk when they turn inward or get pushed to extremes. That insight continues to inform my approach. We build sustainable performance by strengthening the foundation underneath it.
In 2018, I joined the University of Colorado Athletic Department, where I provided mental health and performance support to student-athletes. Over the next 6.5 years, I helped grow the program from a single provider to a full team, eventually overseeing the Psychological Health and Performance Department and its commitment to student-athlete wellbeing.
I loved the work deeply, and I chose to step away from that role to spend more time with my family while continuing to serve elite performers in a more flexible setting.
Nourish Therapy, PLLC was created to help athletes, high achievers, and driven professionals navigate mental health challenges while continuing to thrive. I hope this is a place where you can be fully yourself, build lasting resilience, and reconnect with the inner strength that helps you heal and move forward.
