• “Psychological Nourishment for the Mind, Body and Soul”

    Welcome!

Life can be challenging, even for people who are used to functioning at a high level. If you’re dealing with substance use, disordered eating, sport performance pressures, burnout, or identity-related concerns, you deserve support that feels both compassionate and practical. Change is possible, and you do not have to do this by yourself.

"In any given moment we have two options: step forward into growth or to step back into safety."

    - Abraham Maslow

Taking the first step can feel intimidating, especially if you’re used to pushing through and handling things independently. Therapy can be a place to exhale, feel understood, and build tools that support both your wellbeing and your performance.

    About Me

Hi, I’m Erin Rubenking. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Addictions Counselor, and Certified Eating Disorders Specialist in Colorado. For more than a decade, I’ve worked alongside elite performers. athletes, high achievers, and high-responsibility professionals who are managing intense pressure on the outside while feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected on the inside.

I specialize in eating disorders, substance use, high-performance and sport-related concerns, and identity work. Many of my clients are navigating perfectionism, burnout, anxiety, changes in performance, injury or career transitions, and the complicated question of “Who am I if I’m not achieving.” We make space for the parts of you that are tired of holding it all together, without losing what you care about most.

My career began in higher-acuity treatment settings supporting individuals with eating disorders and substance use, and I later spent 6.5 years embedded in a Division I athletic department. During that time, I supported student-athletes and helped grow mental health services, eventually overseeing the Psychological Health and Performance department.

My mission is to offer a warm, grounded environment where you can be fully yourself, heal what needs care, and build the kind of stability that supports both wellbeing and sustainable performance.

I offer both in-person and virtual therapy.
